Santa Barbara, CA

About ChipAgents

ChipAgents is pioneering agentic AI workflows to transform chip design and verification. Our AI-powered platform accelerates RTL design, verification, and simulation, helping engineers, researchers, and companies innovate faster. We work with top semiconductor companies, leading AI hardware startups, and major cloud providers — and we are now expanding our ecosystem to universities, open-source projects, and the broader developer community.

Position Overview

ChipAgents is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Community to build and lead our community ecosystem strategy. You will drive engagement across universities, non-profits, open-source communities, and developer groups, while also developing university enterprise accounts. You'll be responsible for organizing community events, conference presence, dinner gatherings, and helping establish ChipAgents as the go-to platform for AI-driven EDA innovation. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of customer engagement, education, and community leadership. You must have the end-to-end agency to solve problems by yourself, while working with the engineering and sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ChipAgents' university and community engagement strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with faculty, students, non-profits, open-source leaders, and research labs.
  • Create programs to foster adoption of ChipAgents at universities and research institutions, including negotiating university enterprise agreements.
  • Organize and manage community events, hackathons, conference trade shows, industry dinners, and technical workshops.
  • Actively represent ChipAgents at academic conferences, trade shows, and community gatherings.
  • Work closely with enterprise sales and customer success teams to align university relationships with future commercial opportunities.
  • Build and scale a community platform (Slack, forums, newsletters, meetups) to support an active ecosystem around ChipAgents users and developers.
  • Create content, resources, and toolkits that empower community champions and developers.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for the community's needs, influencing product development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in community building, developer relations, customer success, academic engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of university ecosystems, research communities, and developer culture.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across students, professors, engineers, and executives.
  • Experience organizing large and small events, from trade shows to intimate technical dinners.
  • Passion for AI, EDA, chip design, or developer platforms a strong plus.
  • Ability to travel to universities, conferences, and community events as needed.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, and excited to build a new ecosystem from the ground up.

Why Join Us

  • Shape the future of how AI accelerates chip design and verification.
  • Build and lead a global community at the intersection of AI, semiconductors, and academia.
  • Work closely with top-tier customers, researchers, and developers.
