ChipAgents is an AI startup reimagining how chips are designed and verified. Our agentic tooling already powers PoCs at top semiconductor companies, and we're Series A, backed by tier-1 VCs. Our goal is to triple the headcount and are scaling to 50 employees to meet demand for our flagship product, ChipAgents™.
Why this role matters
Hiring world-class engineers, EDA experts, and go-to-market talent is our #1 growth lever. As our first in-house recruiter, you will build the talent engine that lets us out-execute giants—and you'll do it with direct access to the founders and a blank canvas for process, tooling, and employer brand.
What you'll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for AEs, full-stack AI engineers, DV architects, GTM, and leadership roles (15–30 hires in the next 12 months).
- Architect our talent stack: pick the sourcing tools, and analytics that fit a fast-growing startup.
- Partner with execs & hiring managers to write compelling job specs, craft structured interview loops, and drive close strategies.
- Run high-impact sourcing campaigns across LinkedIn, conferences (DAC, DVCon), university pipelines (UCSB, Stanford, Berkeley), and your own network.
- Level-up our external agencies—set SLAs, prevent duplicate funnels, and work with them for hard-to-fill niche searches.
- Build employer branding content—LinkedIn posts, engineering blogs, and community events that showcase our mission and culture.
- Track the metrics that matter—time-to-fill, onsite pass-through, offer-accept, and iterate fast.
What you'll bring
- Technical recruiting experience in high-growth startups or top tech, or exceptional passion as a new grad; semiconductor / AI domain a strong plus.
- Proven record of closing senior IC & manager-level engineering roles (H-1B/O-1 immigration familiarity ideal).
- Fluency with modern talent tools and data-driven decision-making.
- Storytelling chops: you can translate deep-tech missions into narratives that excite passive candidates.
- Grit, creativity, and a builder's mindset, you like blank slates more than playbooks.
What we offer
- $120K/yr – $250K/yr + Offers Equity. We are open to discuss above-scale compensation with exceptional candidates on a case-by-case basis.
